I Don't Want to Stick My Hand In There

One of the only complaints I have about my apartment (asides from the fact that it is constantly heated to a temperature that melts the chocolate in my cupboards) is that the toilet handle thingy disconnects itself from the chain every couple of weeks. And every couple of weeks I have to stick my hand in the toilet tank to retrieve the chain and hook it up again. And every couple of weeks this grosses me out beyond belief and results in extensive scrubbing with antibacterial soap. I mean, really, who wants to stick their hand in a toilet on a semi-regular basis?
Also, I'm sick and my head hurts and my throat hurts and I'm tired. And with that whining out of the way, I need to work on construction homework (which I am sick of).
By the way, the picture is not of a toilet. It is of part of a model I recently completed.
