No Call Back

Alright, I'm officially irritated by people who:

A. Don't call back when they say they will.

B. Don't call back when you leave a voicemail.

C. Don't answer their phone, ever.

I am friends with several of these people and these interactions (or more appropriately, the lack thereof) tend to make me wish that I wasn't.

I mean, let's try and think of a better way to suggest to your friend that you don't want to have any interaction with them. Generally speaking, when you don't call someone back it's because you find them to be annoying and you don't want to speak to them. Let's strive for some more consistency between words and actions here.

To be on the receiving end of this means that you have to consistently tell yourself that your friends don't hate you, they simply forget things and don't like their phones. But every single time this happens you wonder what on earth you did wrong that they don't want to talk to you. Even worse is when you hang out with them and see that certain people's phone calls are returned with dedication. So, what the heck, people????

Trip to Chicago

So, my family and I have just returned from a few days in Chicago. We went to a couple art museums (which were wonderful) and the Shedd Aquarium. We ate a lot of good food. Particularly there was a Vietnamese restaurant called Le Colonial that had excellent dishes. Mmm... chicken curry...

Home Again

Yep, home for the holidays. Just spent the whole day at my high school working in the metals studio (since I don't have studio access at U of M). But it paid off, my work is completed. Anyway, I'm tired. Just a general pervasive sense of tired.

On a different subject, I don't have any plans for New Years. Anyone have New Years plans they want to share with me? I'm fairly clean and I don't bite.

Oh Well

So the highest bidder on my eBay a Day piece is currently... that's right, my own mother. I guess at least I won't have to pay for shipping.

Leather Pants

Ok, my english professor from last year emailed me this link after I told her about the eBay a Day show. It's really funny and not even an art piece or a joke.

Maybe I should try and sell the shirt without a back in similar fashion?

Portfolio Site

So somehow I managed to hash out a passable portfolio site on a Thursday afternoon last week. Actually, I like it a lot better than just passing. I'm pretty proud of it. www-personal.umich.edu/~hstroud
