The Architect Stares Back

Today was housing re-app room choosing/contract signing. As previously mentioned, I was trying to get a single in Barbour next year. However, the singles at Barbour were full by the time my lottery number came up. Also full were the singles in Newberry and Cambridge House and West Quad. So where, you might ask, am I living next year? Northwood III. Yes, that's right, in the farthest reaches of North Campus. Did this upset me? Yes, initially it did. However I have decided that this will be a good thing for the following reasons:

1. I have a one bedroom apartment all to myself. This means a bedroom (in itself the size of a single dorm room), a bathroom, a kitchen, AND a dining/living room. I can have "studio space", that most coveted of things.

2. Lizzy and Liz G. also have apartments up there.

3. I can get a parking space for my car, Patrick.

4. All of my classes for the next two years are on North Campus.

5. I can be forced into learning how to cook.
